In this world where humans are known to be social animals we too sometimes feel disconnected from the world.

Distance separates us,
So does time.
I feel forgotten ,
But that's not a crime.

Looking at the memories,
Of the bygone years.
It feels like a century,
Since we were near.

All that I got from you,
Your love, attention and care.
Feels no more to be true.
I feel disconnected and bare.

I wish this could continue,
A happily ever after.
I lack the courage to bid adieu.
I fear the silence of laughter.
