I've witnessed a lot of situations in my time where almost every solution to every problem comes down to whether you care about the person or aspect enough to work through the problem or are you going to take the easy way out and just leave it out in the cold forever. Are you going to even try to work hard at something you are not good at or are you just one from the millions who won't even try.
I really think that caring can be a good thing as well as a bad thing. Caring about your grades is a great duty for a teenager especially in our country but I personally don't feel obsessing over it and neglecting overall development is. Whereas when it comes to a friend you've fought with you really have to figure if they are worth the trouble , worth you caring for them but if they are don't leave them hanging cause you don't want to accept your own flaws or want to get your ego hurt.
This piece was inspired by the really new shocking situations I've faced in my almost ending eleventh grade. Usually I think I was in a safety bubble when it came to issues like these when I had to choose whether to care or not. It really all comes down to for whom or for what do you care enough.Sixteen maybe a tender age but it has taught me a lot , from how to act to how much to care. I'm not saying that care is a measurable quantity but in this world shouldn't it be?
